Taste Test: Cream Cheese Danish
Dear Readers,
It has been a lovely cold winter here. I love winter...the snow, the cold, the wind. I can imagine spending time in a remote cabin, stoking the fire and drinking tea waiting for the blizzard to stop.
So, I did a taste test of cream cheese danish. One is from a well known family owner bakery, the other from Woodman's grocery. I was surprised with the outcome.

Steak STEAK!
Dear Readers,
I found a sale at our local grocery store for sirloin steaks. I could not resist them. They were lovely cuts of meat, seemed like I had to make a special meal just for my husband.
The menu: Steak, baked potato, green pea salad, broccoli salad and a wonderful de-glaze sauce!
First i marinated the steak with salt, garlic and pepper and added soy sauce on top. I put it in the refrigerator for around 6 hours.
In the mean time, I made the green pea salad, baked the potatoes and put together the broccoli salad.
Then, the real fun of cooking the steak! Three minutes on the first side (fried in butter) and 2 1/2 on the second and it was perfect.
After that came the de-glaze. I added some tomato sauce to the pan and worked up the tasty bits. Then added around 1/2 cup of Chardonnay to the pan. The smell was wonderful!
I had some sauteed two onions and two bell peppers that I made just before the steak, so I added a bit to the sauce. It was the meal of all meals.
