Dear Readers,
I have wanted to make this for so long. Dal is a wonderful dish made from lentils, spices and you can add other ingredients to make it original.
Here is my recipe.
3 cups lentils + 6 cups water in crock pot on high for 3+ hours
Add:
chopped onions (2 large)
one can crushed tomatoes
one can black beans-drained
pepper
salt
turmeric
garlic powder
I also made rice in a rice cooker for the Dal to be put over. It turned out beautifully. I did not over spice things and the taste made me want to eat more. The protein in the lentils can not be beat!
