Cookbook Review and Weekend in photos

Dear Readers,

It has been a lovely weekend  so far. I was able to finish reading the book The Art of The Cookie by Shelly Kaldunski. It was published in 2010 by Weldon Owen and I found it at my local library. It was a wonderful read!

Overall First Impressions:

-Delightfully colorful
-Pictures to enjoy
-Easy to read font

Noteworthy Recipes:
-Maple Pecan Strusel Bars
-Stained Glass Cookies
Birds Nests

For a newer cookie book, there are many basic recipes to try and enjoy. The listed of glazes and frostings only add to the creative fun that one could have in creating cookies. Some of the cookies in the Modern Classics section are to die for! The Chocolate-Butterscotch crackles make with butter and a real vanilla bean are the new go to favorite for company. These are always a crowd pleaser and the ingredients balance to create a superb treat.

Go to your local library today and check it out! You will not be sorry.

Bon Appetit!
